#10 High card

High card is the lowest rank of poker. In this hand, the rank is given when there is no sequence, flush, pair etc. Therefore, the highest value card of all the five cards decides the rank of the hand.

#9 Pair

In this hand, there is one pair of any same card from different suits. For example a pair of fives out of five cards. When the opponent also has the pair of the same value, the winner is decided with the high card technique.

#8 Double pair

This is the 8th rank out of 10 ranks of poker. In this rank, there are two pairs of different values. For example, two queens and two kings out of five cards.

#7 Three of a kind

In this rank, the player gets any three cards out of five cards with the same value. For example, three jacks of different suits.

#6 Straight

This is the sixth rank of poker. In this hand, the player gets all five cards in proper sequence but all cards from different suits. For example, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 of different suits.

#5 Flush

The rank of this poker hand is higher than the above-discussed hands. In this hand of poker, the user gets all the five cards from the same suits but without any proper sequence. For example, 2, 3, 10, king and five of heart

#4 Full house

In this hand, the user gets one pair and one three of a kind set and all five cards are used to make pairs and triple. For example, two kings and three jacks.

#3 Four of a kind.

This is one of the rarest hands of poker. The rank of this hand is 3rd. In this hand, the player receives all the four same value cards of a deck. For example, all four cards of jacks and one other card to make five cards.

#2 Straight Flush

This is the 2nd rarest hand of poker. In this hand, the cards have both the properties of flush and straight. For example, 2, 3, 4, 5 and six of a diamond.

#1 Royal Flush

This is the rarest of all the other hands and that’s why this hand is given the first rank. In this hand, the player gets Ace, King, Queen, Jack and ten of any suit.
